Gallery #1

This space provides an opportunity to highlight artwork by people in prison, formerly incarcerated artists, and other artists working in and around the criminal justice system. This includes visual art images, writing, and videos. Please contact us if you would like to add a file to the gallery, and review the consent form. We also ask that you contact us if you are interested in utilizing any of the artwork in the gallery for your own purposes, or would like to connect with any of the featured artists.

Other websites which publish original artwork and accomplishments by currently and formerly incarcerated artists are Minutes Before Six and New Connections. Information on purchasing and selling work created by incarcerated artists can be found here. Please note that The Justice Arts Coalition is not able to sell artwork, but if you would like to learn more about how to market your loved ones’ work, feel free to reach out to us.

Wow I’m so impressed by how talented these man and woman are. My boyfriend is currently incarcerated on his 9th year now. Hopefully my the grace of god he’ll be out soon. He spends most of his time drawing beautiful portraits and whatever comes to mind. His art work is amazing! So if you’re looking for more artists he’s definitely your guy 🙂 hope to be hearing from you soon.

  3. Hi George. I have a friend who is in Tehachapi and he is an amazing artist. He also tells me there are so many talented men in there. I know they could all use help. How would I go about starting to try and sell his (and maybe eventually their) art? He is LWOP, but hopefully with all these laws that are now changing for a crime you did when you were a youth, he has a chance…
