“I originally did this concept when I was very first incarcerated and facing a sentence of 20-life. I had been unexpectedly ripped from my children’s lives. The positioning of the woman represents the overwhelming pain and mental anguish at seeing my hopes and dreams disappear beyond a horizon. I felt helpless and hopeless for a long time.”
