“Worded Art,” Charlie Castillo

I had someone tell me, and other people who I shared my pieces with, that I didn’t do real art. When questioned he explained that real art didn’t use words. I guess the Campbell’s soup thing went over his head. Even so, I think anything expressed can be art. I used to marvel at the art on the subway trains in Brooklyn as a kid. This piece evokes art using a lot of words. (Bad Grammar included). Communication, man’s greatest gift.
