Artist’s Bio:
Michael E. Dorcas was a Professor of Biology for 18 years publishing more than 150 scientific papers and authoring eight books on the biology of amphibians and reptiles. Since 2020, he has continued to pursue his passion for the animal world through art. His realistic drawings explore the mystery and beauty of animals.
We acknowledge that there are always several sides to any story. Our role as an organization is to provide a space for the sharing of ideas, stories, and artwork, whether or not the beliefs/views expressed by the artist align with our own. This is not intended to be a space to debate the circumstances leading up to an artist’s incarceration. Doing so would be in conflict with our mission and this platform does not allow artists to represent themselves in dialogue about their experience.
