Resident and native of California, Les is a studio artist with their bachelor’s degree in art with an emphasis in drawing and painting, and graduate studies in the Department of Art, Design, and Art History (with an emphasis in drawing, painting, and sculpture). Les works in traditional arts in mediums such as oil and acrylic paints, wax, plaster and bronze, charcoal and graphite, and occasional mixed media. Specializing in the human figure, Les works in portraiture of the self and the other. As an incarcerated artists, Les works primarily in achromatic graphite portraits. With goals of resuming their practice in society, Les is an emerging, yet persisting artist with a passion for self-expression.
