I started making paper sculptures as a way to escape the madness of my environment and the injustice of this corrupt system.
I want to share my artwork and the things I’ve learned over the years with other guys in prison and those on the outside, that are imprisoned in their hearts and minds. Bars can be physical or mental.. I sit behind bars, but they don’t imprison me, I got rid of the chains that held me captive a long time ago — “Anger takes you to places where only a fool would go”
Thank you for sharing your heart and mind–and art! I agree that the prison system and incarceration is arbitrary and unjust—and corrosive to dignity and agency. Bless you.
