Welcome to ArtConnects, where we center our mission around nurturing imagination and forging connections rooted in a deep love for creativity and art. Located in Takoma Park, MD, we host arts-focused correspondence gatherings that serve as the heartbeat of our efforts. What You Can Expect
During the gatherings, you’ll have the chance to assist us in responding to art and mail from artists who are incarcerated across the country.

  • Date and Time: Our gatherings take place from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month, providing a relaxed and welcoming environment for volunteers to connect and create.
  • Location: Our headquarters in Takoma Park, MD, serves as a hub for creativity and collaboration. We’ll send you the address when you RSVP.
  • Materials and Instructions: We provide all the materials and instructions you need to get started. Whether you’re an experienced artist or a beginner, there’s a place for you here. Our experienced team is always available to provide guidance and support.
  • Good Vibes: We curate playlists that enhance the creative atmosphere, and we cultivate an environment filled with positive energy and good vibes.

We recognize the power of human connection. Through our correspondence gatherings, you’re bridging the gap between artists who are incarcerated and the outside world, fostering a sense of belonging and support.
